A mere 17-year-old, Annie and her long, slender legs yearn for travel and adventure. She dreams of escaping her native village to go live in the neighboring bustling city to become a doctor. She is doing her best in school for her dream to become reality. When not in class, she can be found walking the surrounding red dirt trails. She sometimes joins Bernard and his goats on the high plateau, where they discuss getting away to their future life.
